Yoyogi Park and Paella Festival

Today, we went to Yoyogi Park in Shibuya.  It was a huge park with not very much to play with.  It was also the day of the big Japanese Paella competition.  This is when Japanese chefs see who can make the best non-Japanese rice!

This is me and mommy
I really liked running here!
Hi broom
Bye broom
These are barrels of sake behind me
Before going into the shrine area, we had to rinse off

You have to be quiet here

This is me writing a wish
You put your wish in the envelope
You put the envelope in the wish box

Four years ago, mommy and daddy came here and wrote their own wish

There was something special happening here

 It was a wedding!

Time to go to the paella competition!

On the way, we saw some jugglers practicing
Hold up!

I must take this home!
I smell paella down there!
These were all of the food tents!

We had to choose which paella we wanted to try

This one looks really good

Dancing with mommy
I wanted to eat one of these giant baos

The train station was so packed we decided to take the subway instead

The Sakura festival was happening on cherry lane

Hi bunny!

That night, we went to a yakuniku restaurant.  It is a plan where you cook your own food over a fire!

We had Japanese beef called wagyu.  Everyone agreed that it was the best thing they had ever had!
