Snow Blossoms

We woke up the next morning, ready to explore the neighbourhood.  We were staying in Bunkyo, Tokyo.  This is a very special time in Japan.  All of the cherry blossoms bloom over the next few weeks, so our timing was really good.  In Japanese, the cherry blossoms are called, Sakura.

This is the view from our window.  You can see the sakura trees and the cherry lane path that we
took every day to get to the train.

We didn't take the train today.  We decided to explore the neighbourhood

There was a man cooking in the window.  This was going to be a delicious trip!

We found the local fire station.  Sirens in Japan sound different than in Canada.

We found a little playground

Then it was time for ice cream

There were sakura everywhere!

It looked like snow!

After playing in the snow blossoms, it was time to go home for nap

That night, we walked up the cherry blossom path for dinner
There were lanterns and statues guiding the way

Mommy and baby love

There's always someone to play with!
Dinner in Japan is always delicious and beautiful

I loved having family dinners!

At night, the cherry lane gets busy and lots of people have night picnics there

I loved running down cherry lane!
